Pirate Gold Rush Camp – September 18th-20th

Our first camp out of the year is Pirate Gold Rush Camp, scheduled for the weekend of September 18-20, at Firelands Scout Reservation in Wakeman, OH. Come join us for some teamwork and plundering fun! Don’t forget to bring a bandanna, and a lot of patrol spirit!

The cost for camp will be $25, and you can sign up on TroopWebHost. If you are planning to arrive late or leave early, it is very important that you include that information in the comments, so that we can try and make arrangements with the camp staff.

Similar to Summer Camp, all participants will need to bring the Lake Erie Council’s 14-day temperature log and health questionnaire with them to camp. This includes the adult/parent who will be transporting the Scout to camp (we are not carpooling to camp as a troop). With the start of camp being September 18th, this means that you needed to begin tracking daily temperatures this past weekend, so if you haven’t started yet, please do so ASAP. You can download a copy of the temperature log sheet using this link:

Each scout is responsible for bringing their own tent to camp. If you recently purchased a new tent through the troop, please take some time to practice setting it up, in order to get you ready to set it up at camp.

Please don’t forget to bring a few masks/face coverings with you, along with other important gear for tent camping, like a ground tarp and pad, headlamp or flashlight, rain gear, camp chair, appropriate clothing for the weather forecast, and a filled water bottle. We are also asking each scout to bring a bandanna with them to use during some of the games. Please make sure your name is on everything, including the parts of your tent.

If you have any questions about camp, please let us know. Thanks so much for your cooperation, and we hope you will be able to join us for a fun weekend!
