Eagle-required Merit Badge Opportunities

In order to provide some additional opportunities for our scouts during this time, troop merit badge counselors will be available to work with scouts on several Eagle-required merit badges. The options that we have selected are ones that a scout can work on at home. Each merit badge has a PDF workbook that a scout can use to track his answers, results, etc. for each of the requirements.

The first option is Family Life merit badge. You can find a PDF workbook to assist you at this link:

Family Life Workbook

Family Life MB requires scouts to work on two family projects at home, track chores for 90 days, and discuss important aspects of families.

Another option is Citizenship in the Nation merit badge. You can find a PDF workbook to assist you at this link:

A lot of the information to help you in completing the requirements can be found online.

The third option is Personal Fitness merit badge. You can find a PDF workbook to assist you at this link:

For this badge, scouts should focus on requirements 6-8, which involve developing a fitness plan, and then tracking your activities and results.

We are looking at holding some virtual meetings for some of these badges, as well as determining the best ways for scouts to interact and share their completed requirements with the merit badge counselors. There will be more information to come as we sort all of that out.

We hope that you consider taking the opportunity to work on these very important merit badges!
