Hotcakes for Heritage Fundraiser! – March 7th

Saturday, March 7th, is Troop 701’s third annual Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser at Applebees in Strongsville!

This has been a very successful fundraiser for us for the past two years. Once again, our goal is to raise enough money to pay for the Summer Camp bus.

Tickets are $10 per person. Breakfast, which will be prepared by Applebee’s staff, will include pancakes, bacon, breakfast potatoes, coffee, milk, juice, and soft drinks. Our scouts will be serving the meals, busing the tables, greeting our guests, and selling basket raffle tickets.
We need your help in the following ways:

  1. Please have your scout signup to work for an hour at this event. Signups are open on TroopWebHost. We particularly need scouts aged 14 years old and up as our primary volunteers, per Applebee’s regulations. Younger scouts will be assigned to greet guests, work at the ticket will-call table, and sell raffle tickets.
  2. Buy tickets to attend, and sell tickets to your friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors! The more tickets we sell, the lower our cost for the Summer Camp bus (the third installment of the summer camp fees). Linda Klaben will be organizing the ticket sales – paper ticket sales will start soon. Thank you, Linda! An online option for ticket sales will also be available and posted through the Message of the Week next week.
  3. Help us with raffle basket donations. Thank you to the Jackson family for organizing our baskets this year! Please see the separate message from Lee and Ron for ways you can help.

If you have any questions about this project, want to join in to help us achieve our goal, or need help in any way, please contact Laura (440-821-2445, laurasta@wowway.com).

For 40 years, boys have joined Troop 701 of Strongsville, Ohio for one simple reason: "Because they wanted to." Together on the Scouting trail to Eagle they experience adventure, discovery and teamwork.
