Giving Tree Project

Ohio Guidestone is a foster care and family services organization that serves over 16,000 children and families throughout the State of Ohio. The Giving Tree is one of the very important Troop 701 traditions. Each year we collect gifts for donation.

They are in need of BRAND NEW (with tags and original packaging) UNWRAPPED gift items for children and teens. The organization uses the items to create a “shop” in which their social workers can look for items to help the children and families they are serving.

Some ideas are:

Clothing items (pajamas, socks, T-Shirts, sweatshirts, jeans) of any size
Winter Wear (hats, scarfs, gloves, coats) are of particular need
Toys (Lego, soccer, football and basketballs, board games, etc.)
Personal Care items (toiletry gift sets)
Blankets
Gift Cards

Items will be collected by Jodi Sepesy (Caleb’s mom) at the Tuesday Troop Meetings Dec. 3rd and Dec. 10th, or arrangements for drop-off at their home in Brunswick could be made by calling her at 724-812-6828 before Dec. 15th.

Thank you for helping families in need within our community.

For 40 years, boys have joined Troop 701 of Strongsville, Ohio for one simple reason: "Because they wanted to." Together on the Scouting trail to Eagle they experience adventure, discovery and teamwork.
