Advancement Night – Tuesday, November 12

Thank you to everyone who braved the cold weather at camp this past weekend! It was great having so many Moms out there joining in all of the fun activities! If you took home any troop gear from camp, it is very important to get it cleaned and dried out as soon as possible. We will not be using the tents again until April, so we want to make sure they are in a good condition to safely store for a few months. All troop gear is due back at the beginning of the November 19th troop meeting.

This week’s meeting will be an Advancement Night and PLC session, from 7:30-8:30, in the Media Center at the high school. Scouts should spend some time before the meeting looking over and practicing the advancements they would like to work on. We are in need of additional adult volunteers at our Advancement Nights to help work with our scouts, so if you are interested in lending a hand, please feel free to stop by!

Our annual Yard Charge service project, where we help rake the leaves for senior citizens in the city, is this Saturday, November 16th. We are currently very low on volunteer signups, so please consider lending your assistance for this important and worthwhile event. All family members and friends are welcome to participate! Please read the details below, and sign up on TroopWebHost, noting in the comments any additional volunteers that may be tagging along. Thanks for your help!

For 40 years, boys have joined Troop 701 of Strongsville, Ohio for one simple reason: "Because they wanted to." Together on the Scouting trail to Eagle they experience adventure, discovery and teamwork.
