Jackson P. Eagle Project – Saturday, August 24th

Hello Scouts! I, Jackson P., will be hosting a Handicraft Day for my Eagle Project. This workshop will teach younger scouts (not in High School) how to use a handsaw, and the various safety techniques required to effectively use a handsaw. There will be no use of power tools. We will be cutting PVC and Cedar to benefit my Eagle Project. We will provide pizza and pop for those who volunteer. I need three volunteers for this first event. This will take place from 1:00-3:00 PM on Saturday, 8-24-19, at my house, 20023 Kylemore Drive, Strongsville. Please wear work boots and work gloves. If you have safety glasses or a small sharp saw you would like to bring, you can, but we will supply glasses and saws. There is more information to come about four more events throughout September and early October. My Eagle Project is to build ten bluebird nesting boxes for the Richfield Heritage Preserve. The Nesting Boxes will be built to the specifications of a local representative of the Ohio Bluebird Society. I will be organizing a date where me and fellow scouts will install the boxes in the park at their specified locations on October 5th, 2019. Bluebirds are a threatened species that need our help. RSVP at jacksonmaster04@gmail.com. Thank you!
