Spring Troop Court of Honor – Monday, May 20th

The Troop 701 Spring Troop Court of Honor will be on Monday, May 20th, at Chapman Elementary School, beginning promptly at 6:30 p.m. You can enter the school through the rear door, near the gym.

Scouts and families – please arrive by 6:15 p.m. with your scout wearing his complete Class A uniform, including neckerchief. If you have a merit badge sash, please display it by wearing it over your right shoulder.

Our Courts of Honor are where Scouts and their families come together to observe and/or receive rank advancements, merit badges, and other awards. Show your scout spirit and support for all scouts in our troop regardless if you are being recognized. We expect all scouts and families to attend this lively evening to share in the laughs, memories, awards, and hugs too! The ceremony will conclude with a slideshow of pictures from the last several camps.

Advancement is an important and valuable part of the Scouting program, and our Advancement Chairman, Mr. Evan Smith, has written a very worthwhile passage about it. All scouts, and their parents, are highly encouraged to read it, and think about the message shared by Mr. Smith:

Becoming an Eagle Scout

See everyone at the Court of Honor on the 20th!

For 40 years, boys have joined Troop 701 of Strongsville, Ohio for one simple reason: "Because they wanted to." Together on the Scouting trail to Eagle they experience adventure, discovery and teamwork.
