First Class Cooking Requirements Workshop – March 12th

Troop 701 has organized workshops to assist scouts towards earning their first class cooking requirements. The first workshop will be before our next Advancement Night meeting, Tuesday March 12th at 6PM at the Strongsville High School.

Scouts are asked to arrive at the workshop with a written camp menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner, where at least two of the three meals requires cooking. At the workshop, we will review the scout’s menu, cover menu nutrition planning, and provide instructions on how to convert a menu to a buy-list.

Please save the date for Sunday, April 14th at 2:30PM, which will be the date of our second workshop. At this workshop we will finalize budgeting, buy-list, and safe food handling skills.

Scouts who attend both workshops will have the opportunity to earn First Class Requirements 2a through 2d and requirement 2e at a campout later this year. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Tirey.

For 40 years, boys have joined Troop 701 of Strongsville, Ohio for one simple reason: "Because they wanted to." Together on the Scouting trail to Eagle they experience adventure, discovery and teamwork.
