Tuesday May 30th: Special Service Project at Hospice of Southwest General

On Tuesday May 30th, instead of a Troop Meeting, we will be having a special service project that evening.

Troop 701 will be joining with Troop 226 for a All-Strongsville Boy Scouts Service Project to benefit Hospice of Southwest General.  Please come dressed in your Class B uniform, which is a troop t-shirt, scout shorts, and scout socks.

WHEN: Tuesday, May 30th at 6 PM
WHERE: Hospice of Southwest General at Drake and Pearl
THE PLAN:  Scouts will be assembling 64 planter bed frames. Each frame is 4 by 8 feet and made of 4×4 Pressure Treated Wood.   Scouts and Parent Volunteers will assemble the frames and secure them with rebar.

With 64 to assemble, this is a good service project for Scout and a Parent. Everyone should bring the following:
water bottle, work gloves, safety glasses.

Some tools we need include:  mallet to drive rebar, cordless drill to drive wood screws.

For 40 years, boys have joined Troop 701 of Strongsville, Ohio for one simple reason: "Because they wanted to." Together on the Scouting trail to Eagle they experience adventure, discovery and teamwork.

Join Us on the Trail!
