Key November Dates

Parents, you are encouraged to always attend the weekly Troop meeting for announcements starting at 8:15.  It’s the best way to learn what’s going on with the troop.  Here’s a highlight of some key November events:

Tuesday, November 3rd
Tomorrow’s Tuesday Meeting is moved to the Webster Road Fire Station due to elections. The Webster Road Fire Station is located at 11297 Webster Rd. Despite the changed location, the meeting will be held at the normal time.

Thursday, November 5th
Troop De Doo 2015: Western Trails District invites local troops to meet Webelos IIs at the annual Troop De Doo hosted at the Berea United Methodist Church located at 170 Seminary Street in Berea, Ohio 44017 on 11/5/15. We are in need of four scouts to assist running our game and speaking with Webelos Cub Scouts. Scouts are our best advertising tool! Scouts must report in full Class A uniform and be prepared to sell Troop 701 while having fun. Scouts should arrive at 6:30 p.m. to assist with set up and be prepared to stay until approximately 8:30 p.m. Scouts who participate will receive two hours of community service hours. Please sign up for the event in Eventbrite. If you have any questions, please see Shawna Serna.

Friday, November 6th
Gods and Heroes Camp – Camp registration closes tomorrow, Tuesday Nov. 3rd.  Sign up for camp here.

Saturday, November 14th
Yard Charge 2015 is quickly approaching on 11/14/15.  This is an important yearly Troop service event that all scouts should attend.  The Eventbrite signup is now available.

November Committee Meeting
A monthly committee meeting will not be held this month. The voting committee members are to attend the Youth Protection training session on 11/17/15 during the weekly troop meeting.

For 40 years, boys have joined Troop 701 of Strongsville, Ohio for one simple reason: "Because they wanted to." Together on the Scouting trail to Eagle they experience adventure, discovery and teamwork.
