Fall Fill the Truck clothing drive now thru Oct. 3

Please join us for our “Fill the Truck” event on Sat. Oct. 3.

— We will be collecting the entire month of Sept. —

Boy Scout Troop 701 will partner with Easter Seals Northern Ohio to raise money for the troop and help local children and adults with disabilities.

WHO: We need you!  Tell your friends, family, neighbors, or anyone else looking to clear clutter and do something good. Sign up now on EventBrite by clicking this link.

WHAT: An Easter Seals truck will be parked at Ledgewood Plaza (17100 Royalton Rd.) to accept donations of clothing, blankets, towels, shoes, purses, stuffed animals, cloth lunchboxes and backpacks, etc. Even stained items can be recycled into something. The more items we donate, the more money we will raise. All donations are tax deductible and you will receive a receipt when you drop off your items. Our goal is to collect 1,500 or more large bags of cloth and raise $3,500 to support our troop. We challenge every Scout to collect cloth items and return them at any troop meeting during the month of September.

Scouts will earn $0.10 per pound that they personally donate and contribute to the clothing drive. The money will be credited to the Scout’s account to be used for monthly camps, summer camp and high adventure.

WHEN: 7:30a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sat. Oct. 3. Scouts can earn service hours by volunteering to load donations and sell hot dogs and beverages. You can use any bag for donations. If you have any questions or have a donation you need picked up on or before Sat. Oct. 3, please call 440.238.9158 or email troop701clothingdrive@yahoo.com to make arrangements.

Thank you!
